One thing I have gleaned from years of therapy and health coaching is the importance of a happy list. It’s basically what it says-a list of things that make you happy. 

In all honesty, i struggle with this task the most, because of the whole concept of being happy. Don’t get me wrong, I want to be happy desperately. It’s the whole I don’t deserve it that trips me up. Having gone through most of my life being told I wasn’t good enough, changing my thought patterns have been hard.

I dutifully created multiple lists, but never did a lot with them.

Until now.

Self care is vital. Every day I’m choosing something to boost my confidence and promote loving myself. 

On my list in no particular order

  1. Wearing makeup 
  2. Soaking in the hot tub at the gym
  3. Saunas
  4. The scent of vanilla
  5. Reading
  6. Creating stuff
  7. Working out
  8. Dancing
  9. Being in nature
  10. Playing with the dogs
  11. Hanging with my kiddo
  12. Golf
  13. Tennis
  14. Sky zone 
  15. Mini golf
  16. Cooking
